Readers arrive with a question about a place. A thematic map can answer it alongside the words, links and services they already use.

Start with the public task

Roadworks, places to visit or parking: these are illustrative questions, not deployment references. Choose the information needed for the task before choosing a layout.

Keep the surrounding website in charge

Mapsight is designed to take on the host site’s typography, colours and spacing. This is a documented goal with an open implementation path, not an automatic result. Integration requires development work.

Choose the sources and operation

The host chooses the background map, thematic data and hosting. GeoJSON and OGC WMS/WFS are documented inputs. Mapsight does not ship a basemap.
